question 1: why does sweet tea get sweeter the longer you leave it in the fridge?.....it tastes great when you make it but the next day it tastes so sweet it's like something you'd put on pancakes!
question 2: why is it when you eat something sweet (like cake for instance) and then drink sweet tea, the tea does not taste sweet?...if you eat more cake it still tastes sweet but sweet tea does not taste sweet any longer!....anyone know?

cause the sugar granules have settled with the tea, we don't normally have left over tea though. The tea is just as sweet the cake is just sweeter it's your taste bud's

I think the tea tastes sweeter because it has cooled off. Most of the time, you serve it slightly warm or room temperature over ice. By the time you chill it in the refridgerator, it tastes concentrated. Plus, if it's room temp or warm when you serve it over ice, it's diluted as the ice melts.
