It's probably psychological as you've guessed. Slow down a bit and dont expect a 'performance' from him. He's more worried about it than you are so the more he tries the worse it gets. Relax. Enjoy your foreplay but from the outset decide not to have intercourse this time. Then, without pressure to perform, it'll happen naturally with time.

Does he use drugs or alcohol? If you do too much of either, it can definitely have an effect on your love life. Otherwise, it may be something he should have checked out. Be sensitive with him -- it is hard for a guy to deal with, but if you are a supportive partner, you can get through it together.

Maybe you need to ask him questions like: Does this feel good, what can I do to make it better, what would you like me to do to you, do you want me to start at the top & work my way down or the bottom & work my way up your body.
Talk dirty to him guys like that. You could use lotions, whip cream, maybe having sexy in a hot tub, bath tub, shower, outside. You may need to add some excitement to the foreplay.

its got nothing to do with his age he may have erectile dysfunction
maybe u should do a strip tease or something for him...something out of the ordinary that will really turn him on
i really dont think his erectile problems has anything to do with his attraction for you or thinking of past gfs.

he may be very nervous...you are lucky you get foreplay if he is 23!!! perhaps you are more experienced and he is worried or maybe you could try getting a physical exame even though he is young it could be something as simple as high blood pressure causing a problem.

He should still see a doctor even if he is young. There are other physical prblems that can cause this... usually all he needs to do is relax but better to be safe.

Some guys just have a low libido.
So if he's not cutting it and you need the really hot sex.
You may need to move on.
