Suppose a former US president snapped - all people can do so and the US presidency is likely one of the most stressful jobs in the world.
Anyway, the hypothetical former president snaps and starts making threatening remarks, waving a gun around, becomes inappropriately aggressive, whatever...
Question: How would the response by law enforcement, etc be different in this case than if the person was instead a "regular joe."
Like I said, no idea where to post this so R&S is just as good as anyplace... plus, it's more active here. :)

Politics would have been the place for that.
I wonder if the reaction of the police would have anything to do with weather he is a Democrat of Republican? I'm sure that it would have a lot to do with the reaction of the media.

I think it would have best been placed under government or law,
The obvious answer is the president is required to uphold the law.
Not upholding the law is an impeachable offense.
