I don't understand this at all and am really upset :-(

Honestly I'd say I was a normal sized girl. Not skinny or fat. I'm 5'9, 22 years old and recently (like every girl) wanted to tone up a bit - lose a few pounds to look better so I started eating healthily, working out and my body is looking really good (or so I thought) - I saw curves - very hourglass.

I never ever weigh myself. But today as I've received compliments saying I'm looking hot I decided to and couldnt BELIEVE what i say.

I weighed 15 and a half stone?!?!?! I DO not understand this

:-(

I swear, I'm not obese and in denial - I'm really not fat :-/

What is going on?

(its weird because ive got swollen salivary gland problems - dont know if this is anything to do with it)

PLEASE HELP ME :(

You're not fat. As it's been mentioned, muscle weighs more than fat. And really, to a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.

As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that

That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more.

Oh, and it sounds like you've got an awesome figure... if you get a lot of compliments that you look hot, then you probably ARE hot! Don't focus on one seemingly negative thing, look at all the positives that you're getting. ;-)

well if you have been doing weights instead of cardio to start off this would be the reason because Muscle weighs more then fat... So if you have been doing weight you have lost some of the fat but then in turn gained muscle... What you need to do first is stick to a cardio program IE jogging walking on or off a tred mill (I prefer real outdoors) cycling choose a program that gets your heart rate going... Once you have lost the 10,15,20 pounds you want to lose integrate into your program weight training... so that you can gain some muscle tone and definition
Good luck to you

I don't have a clue what 15 stone in pounds is but do know that muscle weighs more that body fat so if you have been doing some muscle building, you are going to weigh more, but you are still going to look trim. Nothing to worry about :o)
