I cut off the end of my thumb and have been taking loratab for about 18 days. I just stopped yesterday but i got extreme cold sweats and became very emotional. Pharmacist says to wean off slowly. Is that the best way?

yes definitely wean yourself off! Make sure that you have your pharmacist call your doctor and you make an appointment to let him know what you need. He needs to know that you are having these symptoms when you stopped and that way he will be understandable and help devise a plan to help get you weaned off. Good luck to you!

Wean off very slowly. You want to avoid complete withdrawal. Just decrease the number of doses and increase the time between them over a week or two.

yes! don't go cold turkey or it will get worse than just cold sweats. if you were taking 4/day cut it down to 3 etc. if symptoms don't get better call your doctor.
