What do you think those who go to heaven will be doing there? Do they have a purpose for going to heaven?

Just curious to see if everyone has a similar view on the subject.

Born again means that when someone accepts Jesus as their Savior, they "die" to their old ways, and are "reborn" into the Spirit.
The baptism (some say) represents this death and rebirth as a likeness to Jesus' death and resurrection.

I believe that people will be worshiping God in heaven. Everyone will have their own "mansion" and will probably serve a unique purpose in serving God.

Born again ? Poor Mom . It was tough on her the first time , now I'm a heck of a lot bigger .
Doing in heaven ? There is no need for food , sex , or rest in heaven . Bodies are everlasting . So that leaves prayer . You pray non-stop 24/7 . Then you start all over again . When you're finished , you pray some more .
Purpose ? To pray .

"Born again" means a new life....the past has been forgiven, WE have been forgiven, and we have a chance to start over IN THE WAYS OF THE LORD.

But, that's just it...we are given a "chance". If we choose not to go forward as Jesus and God intend us to, we have not committed ourselves to them...our will is still not Theirs...

The ONLY reason I have for not wanting to be judged "unworthy" is because I will not have the pleasure of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit's COMPANY ever again!

THAT would be "hell" for me, and it wouldn't matter if mankind decides that it is just a hypothetical "place" or not, lol...I would never know it...that judgement would have me deadened to anything else.

The Bible clearly states what will happen in Revelations, Thessalonians, etc.,. What difference does it make whether we agree on a tidy description that will satisfy everyone? :)

If you don't have love for God or Jesus, what does it matter? We won't be married or possibly even be with our present loved ones in the same area of Heaven, New Jerusalem, hell, or anywhere else.... God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is all that is important...the other is just frosting on the cake at the wedding....

Peace be with you all :)

Of course there is a purpose to Heaven!! We will be there to worship Jesus with our whole being- which just so happens to be what this world was actually created for. I can't wait to just spend time with Him and feel the warmth of His love.

To be born again, to me is just like when the Bible said that the old has gone and the new has come, we are a new creation....once i made the decision to live my life for Jesus Christ, the old person died and a new person was born. Not physically but emotionally and spiritually.

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be aborn of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Those of faith are born flesh but also born of spirit born again made new.
This we have by faith and will be literally resurrected and born again.
Heaven is a place that God has prepared knowing every desires of our hearts he has made the perfect place a paradise for us where we will be happy beyond anything we can imagine here on earth.

The phrase translated into English as "born again" as it appears in the original Greek manuscripts of scripture literally means to be "born from above".

Ego death (learned identity) and rebirth of the authentic Self. When this is achieved you ARE in heaven. This experience of 'abundant life' or 'eternal aliveness' is our only purpose for being. It is unique to each of us.
