Let me explain to you the system: First or initial interview is an interview for pre qualification, i.e., to see if you have any physical defects or good physical attributes. Second interview is an in depth one which deals mostly on your knowledge and skills, so be prepared, this is where they will test your wit. The Third interview will be conducted by a person whom you will be directly reporting to if hired. This time you will be check for mannerism, vibes, etc. The final interview will be with the big boss who most often discuss compensations and career opportunities, and of course the job offer is given at this point if ever you reach this level, though the second interview is the most critical one, the other succeeding interview are equally important, this is where first impressions are made. From this you can make your own conclusion if it you have a good shot.

Good luck (:-)

Yes, that's a good sign. Most likely you will be interviewing with a different person. The 1st interview is the weeding process. The 2nd interview will be with someone higher up in the company. They probably had an overwhelming response for the position. The fact that they are calling you back means someone likes you and/or your skills. Good Luck!

The fact that you have a second interview scheduled is usually a sign that they thought you were a good prospect. It helps to keep you in the interviewers mind if you write a short thank you note acknowleging the first interview and telling them you are looking forward to the next one on Monday. Write neatly in your own hand and keep it short and to the point. Remember that it can take many interviews from different employers before being hired, so keep trying and keep your confidence high and be positive about your skills - your attitude is noticed during an interview. Try the book in the source box below, as it has helped me and my husband in our careers. Good luck!

Actually, it's excellent. You captured their attention and now they need to examine you on a deeper level. There are many free online sources with sample interview questions. Take a few moments and review them. Get comfortable answering questions about yourself and past employment. Also, ask a couple questions about the company's plan for the future.

Sounds like they took you and a few others from a large pool and condinced it down, your second interview will probably be a little harder so they can sort out who they really want.

So yes it is a very good sign

IT IS A VERY GOOD SIGN. USUALLY THAT MEANS THAT YOU ARE HIRED AND THEY JUST WANT TO FIND OUT WHEN YOU ARE ABLE TO WORK AND THEN SIGN SOME PAPERWORK. IT COULD ALSO MEAN THAT THERE ARE A FEW POEPLE THAT THEY ARE VERY INTERESTED IN AND THAT YOU ARE ONE OF THEM. IF THERE IS ONLY ONE POSSITION TO FILL THEN YOU WILL MOST LIKELY KNOW BY THE END OF THE INTERVIEW IF YOU ARE THE ONE THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. EITHER WAY IT IS A VERY GOOD THING. GOOD LUCK!

They have probably narrowed it down to 2 or 3 people. If you are going back, then that's a good sign.

Anything is possible, just don't go getting your self worked up. Play it by ear and put your best foot forward.
