When we develop A.I. that is as intelligent as a person... it will quickly generate a better version of itself... this cyclic process will accelerate. Soon after, god-like intelligence will take over.

There is only 1 GOD. He is the Alpha and Omega, his name is JESUS. Science can't create a GOD, science can only try to tear down GOD and tell lies about GOD. Keep in mind no matter how much science tries it won't be successful in this goal.

Sure, non-scientists have been doing that for years, no intelligence needed. heres how:
Step1. Make up a story (fill it with you own personal agendas) veiled in miracles and fantastical stories and vague passages (this way you can switch from literal, to creative interpretation whenever you want! )Very usefull when someone challenges your book and this way you can make any point you want using your stories, and prove anything without your book actually saying it directly! isn't that wonderfull!
Step2. Say that you only wrote it physically, "god told you what to write" its "god's words"...hope that people believe you! if they don't. Use FEAR and thats step 3...
Step3. Create an enemy of God designed to instill fear. Make it a point in your book that if people aren't with your God they are with this enemy...(this enemy can embody whoever you want, or whatever you want. What group of people do you hate? What do you want people to stop doing, just because you don't like it personally? Well, whatever that is make sure this enemy of your god embodys such qualities... if step 3 "Fear" doesn't work try Step3b
Step3b: Since the fear approach doesn't work with everybody try the opposite. Try Love, emotion and promises of comfort if they believe in your deity! Appeal to peoples emotions! This is especially usefull in converting people to your new god, when people aren't in the right state of mind they are easy converts! (such as: after being drug addicts! going through depression, sickness etc.) offer these tortured people, the comfort, love, attention they never had, they'll fall for it like flies! Who doesn't want to feel loved, Right? now that you have people believing in your new god...on to Step 4!
Step4. Make sure that the people you convinced into believing in your god stay doing so! This is very important! Because, these people are very usefull in spreading belief in you new god... To do this just repeat steps 3 and 3b as necessary....

No, because God, if such a thing exists, exists outside physical and logical boundaries and therefore cannot be created within a universe that conforms to them [IE ours]. It's mathematical really, the universe is a closed set.
