Her little nose will be wet and cold.Don't put a sweater on her unless she goes outside. She has long hair right? And also her heart rate is much faster than yours because she is so small. This raises her body temp significantly. That plus the long hair will be fine indoors.I don't know where you live or how cold it gets there, but when she's outdoors and obviously cold put a cute little sweater on.By the way I love to hear that you really care about your pet.Keep up the good work

For the most part, unless you live in Alaska, dogs do not need sweaters. They already have coats. The exceptions are elderly dogs or those with a shaved/buzzed coat. A maltese has a very warm, silky coat and should do fine.

I usually only put a sweater on my dog when it snows since he gets snowballs under his arms and I have to use a blow drier to warm him up. He is a 25# corgi mix. Indoor dogs (as they should be) don't grow as thick a winter coat as they would other wise. If she shivers in the slightest get her a sweater.

I have a 6 and a half pound poodle. I get him a sweater when he starts shaking and keeps wanting me to pick him up or sit next to him.

When the weather feels cold to you, she needs a jacket, use your own discretion with your dog! Ma Ma Knows best!!!!!!

If it has hair, it's not going to get cold. If you are comfortable it is comfortable.

Clothes for dogs are a people thing. Not a dog thing.

When they shake..And if you live were there is a winter then going out they will need one to keep them warm. put a small blanket on your couch and if it's cold it will snuggle up to it.
