I live in Cairns and nothing is 'Cheap'.
What price range are you looking at? or what do you define as 'Cheap'?
Generally you can get a 6 month lease, for a 2 bedroom furnished apartment in a resort (apartment) for $230 pw, but you only want one for 2 months.
Would you rather have it unfurnished, or share with someone.
There is HEAPS of brand new apartments out the Northern Beaches way that are renting.
Best bet would be go to http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?s=qld&t=ren&snf=rbs&a=sf type in Cairns and see them all come up There is ALOT out there, just depending on what you require.
