What happens if you find the right one when you're doing this? Do you just let her/him go because you're "too young" or because you might find someone better?

I agree with you for the most part. Dating several women at one time does a lot of different things. First it keeps you from focusing on just one woman too much. You don't come off as needy because you're not, you have options. Second it allows you to see many different personalities, values, ideals, and traits so that you can actually find out what you do and don't like in a partner. I spend months dating a woman before I'm willing to consider committing to her. If I date just one woman I have found I tend to rush things too fast because all my focus is on her.
Somewhere along the lines people attached some sort of moral value to dating and act as if it is wrong to date more than one person at a time. Ignore them. To each their own.

Some just find the person of their dreams early and their priorities change. No longer is dating many people a desire. What you may find more fun may not be as fun to someone else. It's a matter of personal preference.

There is nothing wrong with playing the field, but how will you ever know when you have found the right one when you are a constantly changing partners like underwear?

what if your not in the "wrong one (relationship)"?
ive been with my girlfriend for close to 6 years now and im 22, she is 21. ive dated alot of girls before her, but none of my past relationships have been nearly as great as this one.
also your questions leads me to belive lots of relationships = lots of partners, and STD's arent fun in my book.
i agree people get stuck in bad relationships at young ages, and this could lead you to miss alot of fun things, loosing friends ect. but its not always bad.

Every person you sleep with.... your sleeping with ALL her partners too!
A woman is exposed to HPV virus every time she has sex!
HPV is linked to Cervical cancer.
So, basically you get and give possible virus' to people just to try to find the "right one"?

Okay, that is your option. Others do it because they too have an option.
