By Xenon I am going to guess you are referring to HID (Hig Intensity Discharge) headlights seen on high end luxury cars. The plug and play kits seen on Ebay and online stores costs around 250-600 dollars and are ok. They would produce alot of glare for oncoming traffic. To retrofit a custom system would cost you around 500-1500 dollars, depending on where you source your parts.

There are alternatives, such as Silverstar bulbs you can buy at Shucks or tinted aftermarket bulbs you can buy at your local race shop or on the internet by PIAA, Railbrig, Nokya, etc... that sells for 20-100 dollars. If you go this route, I highly recommend you buy a better wire harness from Shucks or an auto parts store because these bulbs generate a lot of heat and would melt your stock harnesses(may cause fire if they melt).

Sure. In some cases you can just buy the bulb? My question, considering the vehicles and their respective ages of 13 and 9 years old...Why waste the money?

If you are intent on buying Xenon type bulbs, do an ebay search for your vehicles.

At any rate, good luck...or thank God you've come to your senses.

Yes, you can buy blue tinted bulbs that have the right look but are priced like ordinary bulbs. I think I saw where JC Whitney had them.
