Or just chuckle? Was lot's wife the punchline?

Lion of Judah: How was he forced to do that? Lot wasn't going around telling them of their impending doom. He gave the ninevites(sp?) a chance, yet didn't do the same for these? Seems god doesn't follow his own policies on how to handle unruly cities.

Two parts to answer you Poseiden...

1) how did He feel...let's ask Him....(Ezekiel 33:11)
"As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the deat of wicked people. I want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Istrael! Why should you die?"

2) Both S&G and Nineveh are exactly the same....God sent one man to turn His wrath away....forgetting that God send Jonah to Nineveh to tell them to turn from their way, and that they accepted the message and repented? From the reaction of the folks against Lot, it was clear what their reaction was going to be (to paraphrase "who is this outsider who's come to tell us how to live? Now hand over those two handsome guys, we want sex!")

Another difference...Abraham pleaded for S&G....Jonah was still mad at God for not turning on the heat....didn't forget the lesson Jonah learned as he watched his plant get devoured by the plant, did you?

God never has, and still does not, get pleasure in the destruction of unbelievers. That is why He sent Jesus to die on the cross, so that if we choose, we will not be destroyed- because believe me, I am not good enough to stand pure before a Holy and Righteous God, without Christ, and either is anyone.

If GOD really did burned Sodom and Gomorrah.... then he must be Crazy. To destroy the whole community including the innocent ones, children and infants... is really very cruel. Does it matter whether he cry or laugh?

Why would God want to 'laugh' about sending His some of His precious creations to hell ?

God was willing to save them if Lot could find even 5 in the city, but alas, he could not, God did not wish to do that, He was forced to, these people brought this down upon themselves.

Jehovah. That's God name and he never laugh at what happen to Sodom and Gomorrah. We know that Jehovah feel sorry for her. Jehovah gave Lot wife a lot of warning not to look back and she did, not good.

We all deserve death. We are all stained. There is only one way to purify our lives.

I think God shook His head. We don't know how long things had gone crazy in those towns, or how many warnings God had given.

It takes an eternal being precisely NO time to get bored of something, so if he did laugh then it hadn't even been uttered before he was off killing someone else again.

No - but Satan did. He enjoys the death of unbelievers - God does not. But don't be naive, punishment for sin is inevitable in this life or the next.
