I'm only guessing here, but it seems like this could be bad for his feet.. how do I convince him of how stupid this is?

Uhh, babysister. Try reading my old questions. My husband IS an idiot. You don't know anything...don't judge.

Have you never encountered a person who changed after getting married. Many men do...mine was one of them.

I thought all men changed after we marry them (lol). I'm not sure there's a way to convince him. I wish I knew of one. My mom started doing this to my 2 year old and he LOVES it. He just laughs and laughs. He asks me to pop them almost daily and it drives me crazy. I won't but my hubby does. I pop mine and always have so I'm sure he would probably pick it up from me, anyway, one day... I just wish he was older before he discovered this bad habit.
Good luck!

You'll find people that say it's good or bad...you could always try the, "we went to the pediatrician today and he/she says that popping the toes is really bad for the baby and that if she does an x-ray and finds out it's being done that the baby can be taken away" I know that's extreme, but it might take a lot to convince him, since he's a moron. I'd suggest making a break for it before his stupidity rubs off on your baby!

I saw a segment on the Tyra Bank's show giving what is true and not. One of the question on the show was: "does popping your knuckles and joint harmful?" and the doctor said "eventually, it will cause problem". The doctor go on by stating that when popping your toes or fingers knuckles, you are loosening the fingers and toes ligaments, weakening it, and can cause arthritis later on in life. So, I think you should tell your husband again and that you're serious about it.

OH MY GOSH!!! My husband does the same thing to my daughter and to ME! I can't stand it.

He has stopped popping hers because I told him it will hurt her.

Honestly, I don't know if it does, but it scares me. So I, in turn, scared him.

Ask the pediatrician the next time you go in what would happen. Of course, if they say nothing, you can omit that when talking to your husband... ;-)

Glad to know I'm not the only person who falls in love with an idiot!

As for the other people who posted above...idiots need love to! :)

As someone else mentioned, chances are he isn't going to listen to you over the matter, so call up your son's pediatrician and perhaps have him speak to your husband or see him in person, explaining why this is bad for him, and why he should stop. Hopefully, if he hears it from another source, he will listen and stop doing it.

Hey Britney! (that's my name too! spelled the same except with two "T's".)

I don't know...find some information on how that can affect a person's feet. And show it to your husband.....
Maybe he'll understand. I'm sure he's doing it in jest and means no harm...but if you can provide some sort of medical proof, (even pics) I'm sure he'd probably stop then...:)

Can't he pop his own damn toes?? This can cause problems to your son in the long run, you need to get him to stop asap. Have your son's doctor talk to him, he won't believe anything coming from you. Maybe hearing it from a doctor will scare him off the poor little boys toesies.

Your husband IS an idiot. Why would he do this? Your son's bones are not fully formed.

I think your question should be: "Why did I marry an idiot?" If he's an idiot, you should have married someone else.
