Just about every saint ever was martyred. Just pick one.
Catholics are hated and still HUNTED by the KKK. I live in the South and have lived in some back woods places. At the time I WAS Catholic. I've seen it.
Catholics were shoved in ovens along with the Jews, though obviously not in the same numbers. Priest were shot on the side of the road. If you do not believe this then you are not versed in the Haulocost. Go the museum in DC. It WILL change your life.

If you want just one, how about Saint Maximilian Kolbe, who was killed by the Nazis. Many Catholics are being killed by Muslimsin certain African nations today too

First one was Peter, first pope.
Peter of Simon-->Peter was called Satan by JC: Mt 16:23.
But told: when thou art converted, then strengthen brethren.
Converted Peter notes he got converted by Pauline epistles;
And he does strengthen with grace(not law) unto his brethen;
Noting "the God of all grace" makes "you": perfect ... settled.

Pst: 'catholic' by itself, means universal, globe-all.
King James, defender of the faith, was c: catholic.
http://www.godshew.org/EpistleDedicatory.htm
A 'Roman Catholic' is different, popish and devilish.
Adding latin to the masses, to clear up mass confusion?
Returning to the middle ages is intellectual suicide!
Let us have "revelation": 'uncovering', not cover ups.
But let it be for awareness and understanding;
NOT for accusation and condemnation of any.
For by THY words THOU art condemned: Mt 12:37.

Not to mention Jesus: "cursed EVERY ONE": Gal 3;
which is kinda catholic: universal, globe-all law law.
Jesus: made under law: cursed every one: law law
Christ: the end of the law: blessed every one: grace
Eternal salvation is "through Jesus --> Christ".
God was in "Christ" reconciling the world.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
