Odd question?
when my son was 3 years old we went to the cemetary and started looking at the graves, he yelled for me to come here, I went and he said, mom there is a baby sleeping here. I looked and sure enough it was the grave of a new born. there were no pictures or anything, so how did he know that was a babys grave?

I totally understand your question because I experience something of the same with grandchildren. I actually watched one of them, (age two) following something in my home with only his eyes until he looked towards the hallway. he tilted he's head to continue to see it. and then began to follow it. I sat calmly and watched until he began to follow. I just simply call out his name and pretended I wanted to play with him. I know a lot of people don't believe in spirits and angels. but I do. and I believe that because children are pure and Innocent their able to see things that would probably give an adult an heart attack. we often times think that our children have big imaginations or imaginary friends, but could it be there is more to it.

I don't have the answer, but a similar experience. Several years ago on Memorial Day, my mother, my then 4-year-old son and I were taking flowers to family members' graves and while in the cemetery without a soul in sight, my son pointed to an area not far from us and said, "My sister is over there." He is and was an only child. My mom and I just looked at each other in disbelief. I believe very young minds are not overcrowded and are more in tune with things we lose as we grow older and divert our focus. They are aware of things they probably don't have the ability to explain, or just seem natural to their innocent and open minds. Your son knew something, plain and simple. That's my opinion, anyway.

As to the size of the grave, after a few years, don't they all look the same?

At three, most kids have enough imagination to be able to apply life events from somebody else's history to themselves. So if you were at the cemetery and he knew it was a place where the bodies of dead people were buried and at ANY TIME in his life, you said something about "everybody dies" or if he ever heard anybody describe a dead loved one as "she just looked like she was sleeping" or whatever, and then you throw in the mental stimuli of a smaller stone compared to the big ones, it could all add up in his head and he could easily imagine that children died as well as adults and that smaller stone could be one for a baby.

If you are wondering if your kid is some sort of ghost whisperer, I suppose that's possible because I believe spirits are eternal. There was a kid in my school who maintained that she could see and converse with ghosts, but she was so subdued about it -- not trying to get attention, I mean -- people tended to believe her. However, if it is possible, it's not something that I personally would encourage in my children because it would be such a heavy burden.

Sometimes children are more sensitive to the realm of the spirit than adults. I am a born again Christian, so I'm not trying to be mystical or anything like that. When a child shows this type of sensitivity, don't just pass it off, but know that if it is an ability that God wants him to have, then he will have it. But also know that that ability can also be used by the enemy, satan, to the child's disadvantage as well.

As the parent, you have the authority to bind and loose things in your childs life. While he is sleeping, go to his bed and pray over him, command any spirits that mean him no good to cease from contacting him. Pray protection from Jesus, over his mind and ablilities and speak spiritual blessings over his life. You are not powerless in this and you can help to steer his gifts in the right direction, toward God and away from the devil. I hope this has helped you.

Children are very psychic. You see, they just came to us from heaven and have the memory of their past lives until the polutions of this world cover it all up. The best thing to do is to get a recorder and talk to him about these things. My granddaughter remembers being in a very tall office building that was burning because a plane hit it. She is only 2 1/2. You are doing the right thing by not leading him in questions such as: "Can you see who is here?"
Just allow him to talk about it and encourage that. As long as he is encouraged, his light will be strong. Also, it will help you to realize what the truth is.

Maybe he's smarter the you believe. Most of the answers I'm reading seem rational and you're waiting for proof or an explanation of something irrational. Just contact Sylvia Brown and ask her how you can get your baby to start scamming the world with it's so called ESP. Maybe you guys could interpret his messy diapers the way people read palms.

not sure. but if the size of the grave of the boy is smaller than normal. then may be ur son has made a wild guess.

usually many children make such guesses like if bug things are for dad then small things are for son etc..

I know you are a Mormon hater, but tell you what my church feels about stuff like this. Babies/small children were the most recent people to be with our Father. Sometimes, especially when they are young, they can still see/feel his presence and know things that they normally as an adult wouldn't. Does that make sense? To say it in more of LDS verb-age, I would say, "They passed through the veil more recently than adults have. Therefore they remember Father better. They were in the pre-existence more recently."

I know this sounds weird, but it makes sense if you think about it. My youngest is named after my Mom who dies 20 years ago. For about 6 months when she was 2 she would talk about G-ma A LOT! She would see her and talk about her like she KNEW her. At first it was cute, but after 6 months it made us wonder.

Hope this helps.

Probably a smaller plot.

It's amazing the visual cues we can pick up on without even realizing it. A smaller plot outline, the position with respect to parent's plots, designs on the stone, the size of the stone, or anything else could have triggered the response. In society, there are many ways we treat children differently, without even realizing we do so. A child could pick up on that, even on a gravesite.

If there was nothing on the grave to indicate a baby, it's possible he just guessed and got it right.
