Why would I accept your standard?
When you put the label "God's standard" on your words, you make me LESS likely to pay attention, not more likely. Surely any meaningful moral system requires honesty, and when you claim that you're speaking for "God", you're undermining any claim you have to such honesty.
If the best defense you have for your moral code is that you've labeled it "God's standard", then I'm already FAR exceeding you morally.

Sure buddy. Like YOU don't EVER lie or steal that grape at the grocery store do you? Give me a break. Atheists are not bad people just because they don't live like they are being watched all the time by god. They dont do bad things because they feel bad when they do, and not because some magic man in the sky is watching. They think "How would I feel if someone did that to me?" Yes, it may go along with the commandments, but think about it...the 10 commandments (all besides the one about false idols) are just things we already know are hurtful to others and because we all (or most) have a connection with humanity, we don't want to be bastards and hurt others because we know how that feels to have someone lie to us, steal from us, cheat on us, (no one cares about saying God Damn). We are good people because we relate to being hurt by things. You only do good because you fear judgment from a magic sky man. So, who has the best reason for being a good person? You? No, your intent is to be judged well by god, not to be a good person because its just the right thing to do.

And has there ever been a person that has not lied, stolen, looked at someone with some sort of lust or lustful thought, or ever used god as a sort of makeshift swear word? No, I can guarantee you EVERYONE has done ALL of those things if not once, at least two or three times in their life. NO ONE is perfect, except for those who are fictional.

Didn't someone die on a cross so my sins could be forgiven or something like that?
Heaven must be a very boring place and have few occupants. who would want to go there under those circumstances?
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints....the sinners are much more fun.- Billy Joel

And you are without sin my friend? I know my sins, I know that I am a liar, a cheat, a thief, a lesbian, a blasphemer and so much more... But I also know that my God is a forgiving one. Are you sure that you and I are talking abut the same person. He doesn't have standards. He knew when he created us that we were bound to fail. That is why he sent his son, to die on a cross, WITHOUT sin. I will stand before him on judgment day, just the same as you.

I'm a liar, a thief, an adulterer at heart, and a blasphemer. I'm also a lesbian *does little dance and goes to screw some girls*
I don't believe 'god' exists, but if he did I sure as hell wouldn't want to spend an eternity 'singing his praises'. Hell seems a better option.

No one knows the true depth of thier own faith this is known to God alone,it is an act of pride to think yourself good in God`s eyes, even Jesus asked `Why do you call Me good, on;y the Father in Heaven is good`
We are all very much imperfect but the mark of a follower of Christ is in their daily battle with personal sin and how they humbly look to God for consolation and help.
Those who rely soley on thier own power or their own supposed holiness are like the blind leading the blind.

As a Christian I feel the need to point out that Christians still sin. The idea that we're all so permanently bad that we're worthless assumes that being imperfect is a bad thing. I disagree.

I am a good person
I have lied to spare the feelings of someone I care about
I have stolen a pack of cigarettes when I was young, learned my lesson and won't do it again
I see nothing wrong with looking at someone with lust.
I try not to, curse words make you look unintelligent

There are no gods, but how did you do in your little test?
