Have you ever drank expired sparkling wine or juice? Describe the ill effect if any?

I found a few bottles of sparkling wine that friends gave me for Christmas a few years back. The expiry date on the cap is 08/09/2005. What do you think? Shall I drink them or throw them away? I'm afraid that I might get sick.

Personally, I wouldn't drink wine more than a year after its' expiration. I've heard different but that's my preference.

they should be ok,go by the look and smell when you open them
