Accessories!!!!!!!!! I like Peir1 for finishing touches or Burlington Coat Factory (they have an awesome accessory dpt.).

Houseplants, either live or artifical, do wonders for making a room feel alive & vibrant.
Floating shelves are great for displaying knick-knacks, photos & books. You might also like a standing bookshelf if you have a lot of books & CDs. But I think that floating shelves coupled with artwork or a mirror really helps the decor look like an inderior decorator did it.

Apart from what others say,make sure you actually live in there( both physically as well mentally,if possible,spiritually as well ) and not treat the place as a sleeper's berth.Wish you a happy and fulfilling stay.

Make sure it looks lived in and inviting. That doesn't mean a ton of clutter! You can still keep it organized and make it inviting! Personal photographs are also very important. They tell a story of who you are and what is important to you.
