it depends on how old you are and how you are doing financially. If you are 21 and still in college then you need your money for expenses and nobody is looking for a gift from you. If you are 45 and make $100K/year then your an idiot if you do not. (How old are you?)(Single and younger?, I would lean on the no gift)

Listen you cheap knuckle head. I'm sure you have loads of cash so buying them something would be appropriate. Are you the CEO of a company? if you are, you can afford a stroller or a breast pump! don't be cheap!! go buy your brother's kids a nice gift!
Also, if you have another brother that might be getting married, you are obligated to purchase something off the bridal registry. You should purchase the most expensive gift! The more expensive the gift, the more you care!

Not at the time of the baby shower. However, when the baby is born, it would be a nice thing to take a small something to the hospital. It could be a $5 stuffed animal. Cost doesn't so much matter, thought DOES!

Even if you were not going to be invited you should still get your sister in law a gift for her baby. It soes not have to be an expensive gift, but some thing would be nice. This is going to be your neice or nephew it looks like you would want to get the baby some thing

Well, because it is your sister-in-law and apparently your brother, why wouldn't you want to buy them something for the baby? Just because you are a male, doesn't mean you can't get them something special for the baby like maybe the rocking chair or the crib or a high chair (you get my drift). I think you brother and sister-in-law would be very touched.

No If you are not invited to the shower, you do not have to give her a shower gift. You will I am sure, be giving her a baby gift when the baby arrives.

Decide for yourself. A gift should not be given out of obligation. It should be something you give because you want to make someone else feel special.

Well ya. It is your brothers baby. Get something nice that you can afford. Get advice from a family member if you are unsure of what to buy. Since you arent going to the shower, just give it to them when you see them. congrats!

No. But if you want to get her one, then do. Some family members (or friends) wait until the baby is born to give a gift, as well. Your call.
