If you need rhinoplasty due to a physical defect or tramatic injury, why would God be against that?
If you want the surgery for cosmetic purposes, that's another matter. Whether it's a sin depends on how you act after you have the surgery. Will you turn vain due to your appearance? Then it's a sin. Will you be more confident and able to interact with others? That's not a sin.
God looks at your HEART, not at your nose.

Not a Reverand, or a Christian anymore (agnostic) but according to Christianity it's a sin to modify your body. That means mutilations (however circumcision is a mutilation - go figure), cutting, tattooing... it would even extend to piercings. Atleast that's what I was told during my time in the churches.
I had rhinoplasty when I was 17. I can say in all honesty that it GREATLY improved my life. It's a very nasty procedure to go through, but it truly can be life-changing.

There is no such thing as strict Christian. Denomination version of interpretation, maybe. If you are a Christian then you must get the answer from your Church Pastor/Priest first and if you don't agree then you have to leave that Church. It is better than going against your Church.

Well, I'm not a reverend, but I am on staff at a church and I do counsel people.........
I don't think it's a sin. If someone came to my office and requested it, my advice would be to go for it if it's what you really want.
However, it won't change your life - or your value as a person - besides sometimes it is physically necessary.

Please do tell me where in the bible it talks about cosmetic surgery. And since you're a christian this reference needs to be in the new testament. Maybe you should just ask god directly instead of reverend.

(Lord have mercy...) Love the Lord with all thy mind, all thy heart, and all thy soul... and love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two things hang ALL the law and the prophets...
