Recent evolution-based studies suggest that people came from marine invertebrates—If this were true, the fossil record should document the amusing sea-creature-to-people transition. wouldn't it?

Evolutionary science, the holy grail of guess work, continues to guess and those who do not know continue to accept every "guess" as proof positive - until the next accepted "guess" where the previous "guess" is forgotten.

Yes sharks and people are related but I don't think you really want any kind of explanation because I'm hearing a powerful, wilful ignorance about evolution and indeed, reality in general.
People didn't come from marine invertebrates directly - perhaps you're alluding to the founders of the phylum Chordata which may be similiar to modern sea-squirts in that the juvenile form has a notochord of nerve tissue. Oops, I'll stop now I think I lost you after the word 'alluding'.
The fossil record has most of the answers, you're just exposing your own ignorance, really. I'd explain evolution but you just don't want to understand anything, do you? No, just close your eyes to reality and pray for salvation - hallelujah!
**Edit: Isn't it funny that the idea of people coming directly from a very different animal you rightly expose as absurd (pretending thats what evolutionary biologists think) when your own view is that we were magically made from a handful of dirt - except that would make us Silcon not Carbon based lifeforms - wouldn't it?**
**Yes you're right, that degree of wilful ignorance sounds very religious indeed. I note you haven't provided a source for your data? Did you hear this news anywhere other than your weekly creationist pamphlet?**

Very distantly...
In a nutshell, the fossil record shows
Humans to
smaller Primates to
small mammals to
small dinosaurs to
amphibians to
fish to
even more primitive fish and that's where we're related.
Over a long period of time, natural selection can do strange things

Silly creationist. There are more ways to study evolution than mere fossils. Genetists also study rerlationships between codons of varius species. That is how we know that humans and chimpanzees share 98.6 % of their DNA and we are closer cousins to them than either one of us is to gorillas. And sharks are vertebrates, albeit, with acartilaginous skeleton.

ALL life is related.Your understanding is quite poor if you think this means there would be a "sea creature to people transition"We are related to trees as well. Are you RELATED to your 6th cousin?Of course you are related. Are you DIRECTLY DESCENDED from your 6th cousin?Of course not. What are you not able to grasp?

The connection is so far back that our common ancestor probably doesn't look anything like a human or a shark.
