In January,what is the weather like in NYC and its other Boroughs?

The average high in New York for January is 36, and the average low is 23. But it can vary wildly -- sometimes in January it is in the 60s and sometimes below zero.

Check out weather.com, and look for New York, then look at the 10-day forecast right before you come to see what it is like -- there really is no way to know far ahead of time.

Also, the boroughs basically have the same weather -- it may rain in some and not others. Manhattan tends to be a bit warmer because the concrete retains heat. And the closer you are to the water the colder and windier it is.

usually the conditions vary between cold & dry, cold & wet, cold & snowy, cold & slushy.
Once in a while we get a fluke warm spell, though.
