you submit the request, in writing, to your recruiter. Just be absolutely sure this is what you want, because a DEP release means you will have a MUCH harder time getting back in if you ever change your mind.

The above is incorrect. DEP means that you and the military have agreed upon what job training you will receive and possibly where your first duty station is located. You are NOT a member of the Navy at this time. When it comes time to ship out, just don't go. Your recruiter will be pissed, but there is nothing he can do about it. That stated, the fact that you did not ship will remain on file at MEPS if you should decide to enlist at a later date.

See if the site in my source list is of any help to you.

It's all well and good to tell an enlisted recruit that he's obligated and has no choice, but I believe there's no use for such recruits if they don't want to be there. Dedicated and volunteer in every sense of the word, I say.

Apparently the best idea is to not show up for basic training. Or write a letter. Let them know you're not going. If they try to pressure you, fine, let them do it. The real issue is when a trained serviceman or serviceman in training deserts.

Hi, how are you? I am doing well thank you. If you want to get out of the DEP for the Navy is very simple and very easy. First of all I want to introduce myself first. I am a musician, I love listen to V1033, 98.5 and Star 94.1. I play all kind of instrument like piano, guitar, drum, saxophone, and violin. But you said you want to get out of Dep for the Navy right? I don't know exactly, thay you a male or a female. If you a female you don't have to go just said I don't want to go. I am pregnant and I want to quit.

If you a female is very easy for you to said something nice to the General or a commander. However, if you a male it hard for you to said that I want to quit, but if you decide to get out or quit to go to the Navy don't want go to the battle.
You have to pray Jesus and Maria if you are Catholic that you don't want to go to battle and pray for no more war! And you want to be a safety is go to another Europe country to live for peace. And take another major like Business Administration, Nurse, Doctor, Lawyer, engineer, or teacher. If you you a guy or gay you can be a woman or dress make up like a girl and said you doe'nst want to go to Navy you can quit or don't sign any document, paper, or a form that they sent to your house . And you will be safe. I hope you be okay and Good luck!

If you've already signed the papers, you're committed. The only way you may be able to get out of it (and I don't exactly recommend this) would be to get in trouble with the law. If you were arrested for something you would have to report it to your recruiter, and it could affect your eligibility. The problem is you'd also have a criminal record.
