He keeps parking in my spot. I work in the front office, he works back in shipping. I have parked in the same place for a year and a half. He started to take my spot last week and I have asked him nicely two times to not park in my spot, his response was that there are no names on spots. I am going to let the air out of his tires by the end of the day if he doesn't move!!!!!! He has been asked by his supervisor to park somewhere else. When I got to work this morning, there he was again! IN MY SPOT! How to I deal with this situation?

He has to be to work 1 hour before I do, as I work in the office.

Sounds like he is being a dick, and apparently is also getting exactly what he want...your spot, and a rise out of you. If the boss has already talked to him and he is still continuing to park there, talk to the boss again, and again, and again. Finally, the boss will get tired of you whining to him about it, and he will give you your spot back.

Until there is a sign saying Reserved for ---, that is not your spot. The guy is being a jerk, no doubt, but he has as much right as you to that spot. Sorry.
The thing that I can't understand is all the negative energy you are wasting on this non issue. In the big picture of your life, how important is a bloody parking spot. Use your energy in a more positive way or do you just like the drama you are creating in you life? Just park somewhere else and stop letting this fool get your goat. You are playing right into his hands with all this nonsense of going to supervisors and what not. Chill out.

If the parking spot isn't designated specifically for you or for folks in the office area, there is nothing you can do. It's basically a free for all. I don't think he really cares if you've been parking in that same spot for a year in a half. He works just like you do, so what makes you so special that no one but you can park in that spot? If you really want to make a big stink about it, try bringing the subject up about designating the parking spots up front near the office for the office people only. Don't go and let the air out of his tires, that's pretty childish and illegal. Do you really want to risk your job for something so petty?

edit... I just read your comment about him being a factory rat, oh sweetie, you deserve everything coming your way... lol

Factory rat...oh..so your an office snob? I can do either job I've had the office training i went to school for it but i prefer to work in factories because when you work in the office theres always that one girl that thinks their the queen of the universe and all should obey their requests.....if they are not designated spots..then park somewhere else...and if you really must have that particular spot princess...then get your butt out of bed earlie or dont take so long making yourself look pretty and get to work sooner.....Go ahead let the air out...when you get caught you can explain it was because he parked in a parking spot that is open to all....

Well it is very clear that this guy is a smart @ss! However, you do not really have any right over the parking spot you call 'MY SPOT!' and he is coming in an hour before you. Sweetie! I think your only bet is to keep reporting to the supervisor! Can you approach someone higher? Use you seniority and some female charm Hon!!!

Unless the supervisor is on your side about the spot, which is sounds like he might be, you really cant do anything. You even said the spots arent marked. Is there any way you could get there earlier than he does, then he wouldnt be able to park in your spot.

Oh honey let it go!

I can't believe some of the other answers say good back to the supervisor. Are they serious? ... are you? ... you are ... well then get to work earlier if it means that much to you. Or better yet kill 'em with kindness that's what I do. Always say hello, bring him birthday cake when someone in the office has a b-day. Tell him you didn't mean to be so childish. Do that and he'll eventually be a gentleman about it. If you're a real lady and not fake men will treat you special where ever you go.

I know sweetie! be beautiful,

Moe

You're 26. You have a job. You have a car. Put on your Big Girl Panties and deal with it! Unless you have designated parking spots, he obviously can park anywhere he darn well pleases. Why are you making such a stinking big deal about it anyway?

OMG...what are you 16 or something? It's a freakin parking spot! Park somewhere else. He is most likely just trying to upset you, and it appears he is doing a damn good job of it.
Your best bet is to just park somewhere else and go on with your day. Let the big baby have the spot he wants.

Get to work earlier or you will just have to let it go. It is like that everywhere. Unless there are names on the parking spots, it is first come, first serve.
