An American Veteran was walking by a Mexican place of business and they had the Mexican flag hanging above the American flag so he cut the American flag down and made this remark...."When they " Mexicans, can come and fight for this country, then they have earned the right to fly it".

I say we should have more people like him!!!!

As an American, i feel very strongly about not flying a flag over ours. It is a slap in the face as far as i am concerned. I would have ripped it down myself had i seen it.

This doesn't mean i am opposed of flying your country of origin flag. Just NEVER above ours.

I think is wrong to but a Mexican flag in any where in America, as I think is wrong for me to but a Brazilian flag in my car, house and etc, that's why I don't do it, I live in America because I choose too not because I'm forced too, that's why I have an American flag in my car.
USA ROCKS!!

It was not racist- Mexican is not a race it is a nationality.
If you are an American citizen in the military despite the fact that you have family members who are Mexican citizens- you are an American not a Mexican.

You see that is what is wrong with this country- people want to categorize themselves as specific kinds of Americans-
They want to lay their 1st allegiance somewhere besides America despite the fact they want to suck up her resources and demand her rights-

They scream - I am Mexican- even after they come to America, even after they become citizens - even when they have never even seen Mexico-

I say if you can't put America first- get the hell out.

When you are legal and become a citizen of this country , YOU ARE AMERICAN!!!!!!!!!, not mexican, not chinese, not african, not russian, not english, not canadian, not any thing, BUT AMERICAN. Flying another country's flag is not showing your loyalty to the country you are a citizen of . It would be the same in any other country. Become a citizen somewhere else and fly their flag not someone else's.

It's a matter of loyalty and respect, and pride for the country you choose to live in. People flying another country's flag are not showing loyalty, respect, and pride. They should even be ashamed of themselves for even thinking of doing so. It's good to have pride in one's herritage. But not at the expense of the country you CHOSE live in.

it rather is terrible. they might desire to be a poorly recommended or very biased look after to off the bat euthanize all pits. Are you particular they do no longer do temperament testing to work out in the event that they might even make stable pets? I agree that no animal is a born killer, and that i discover it somewhat is in genetics and environment. Idiots who breed aggressive canines with different aggressive canines gets domestic dogs that have the genetics to be much less friendly, however the way they improve up and are knowledgeable is a extensive factor. i think of it rather is a foul coverage and it is not in any respect interior the ideal interest of the animals - that's what shelters would desire to be for. a number of those pits would have made applicable, soft integrated participants of a kinfolk, yet they are going to under no circumstances be waiting to work out that day because of the fact the day they enter those look after doors, they're killed. that doesn't make experience in any respect to me. The Toronto Humane Society, the biggest one close to me, has a ton of pit bulls and 'bull'-like mixes, none of them euthanized without pondering the well-known of existence for the dogs. because of the fact, as loopy because it sounds, they care with regard to the canines! on the Niagara Falls Humane Society, a smaller yet closer look after to me, while they do have pit bulls, they're at a various value than different canines and the staff determine you tell potential vendors of the right rules related to pit bulls in Ontario (as they have been banned here - which i discover ridiculous) and coach the canines to positioned on a muzzle as ideal they might formerly adoption. considering that new domestic dogs are not from now on allowed here, any domestic dogs that land up in Ontario are despatched to the U. S. no remember what ought to be executed - something to dodge putting them down.

You are applauding a man who cut down the American flag? If he is anti-Mexican why did he not cut down the Mexican flag? He is upset because someone from another country is showing respect and pride for the country they live in by hanging the flag? I think that this man is confused. I hope he gets cited for theft and defamation of the American flag.

In the United States of America. No flag shall fly higher than our own. This retired soldier reacted better than I would have. The flag that I removed would not have been Old Glory. If assaulted while correcting their error I would be forced to defend myself.

I don't endorse destruction of private property, no matter what the reason. I think he was correct to be upset by their improper flag etiquette, but we still have free speech in this country thanks to our military, so they have the right to disobey flag etiquette. A proper response would have been first to ask the shop owner to reverse the positions of the flags, and second to have organized a boycott. Vandalism of any kind is never justified.

In our country no flag should fly above the American flag, and that's why the vet cut it down. It's about respect. Look around people, we have vets homeless on the streets. They fought for our freedoms, it was a complete slap in the face to him.
