Do you ever feel that there's no point?

trying, i have never met anyone that has truly loved me, sometimes feel like there's no point, i gave up some time ago? is that normal. like i just haven't the heart to try

well i gave up over 3 years ago, that's bad

I am in the exact position as you are. I have stopped looking because there is no one that I see that is worth my time... I've just gotten played with, trampled on, and spit on and I am tired of it.

Yes it is normal to back away and not be as open as you were, after people have hurt you. After being a person who gives and gives and being with someone who just takes and doesn't appreciate, its time to stop giving and its time to look into one's self.

We need to start focusing on us. we've probably just dedicated ourselves and our time to others, so its time to love ourselves. We need to buy whatever it is that we want, go out to the places we've never been too, and its time to enjoy being single.

Sure it'll get lonely sometime but at least we don't have to deal with anyone else's crap.

I wish you the best and I know that we will find "the one" someday...

hi there, you will one day come across someone who will really love you for what and who you are. I was on my own for 10 years then by chance met someone and now plan to get married. i think the reason you have given up is because you dont want to get hurt and have been hurt alot in the past so its your safety barrier. i dont know if you meditate or not but i suggest you try it and ask for guidance and help and i will count on it that you will get an answer and your life will change. i am a medium and have a number of people with the same problem as you and all have tried what i have suggested and all have said it has changed the way they think and feel. good luck and all the best xxxxx

truth is you have to learn how to have fun with it again. i was destroyed when breaking up the last time. i wanted it, but then realized i shouldn't have thrown the love away. because i haven't had it since. but since then i've had great adventures, some girlfriends, none that i loved. and my latest has been a bit too much. i've learned how to pick girls up again, treating it like a game. and i'm having great success with it. but this also won't lead to love. so maybe you don't have the mindset for a serious relationship. like me, after being crushed, then too angry with the whole love thing, then a few casuals, and now a full blown pick up operation that gets me new numbers everytime i go out. true its not love, but its fun, its dating again, and i think its a step in the right direction. so just get going in the right direction, and maybe, eventually, you'll get towards the love point.

Are you certain they've never truly loved you, or is it that they've never seemed to have loved you in the way you think being truly loved should be?

Everyone has different concepts of what love is and these change for a person as time passes and different things matter to them, as well as when their perception of things changes. So someone could have truly loved you in their hearts at some time as they saw love to be at the time, but you could have viewed it as not being truly loved from your perspective.

I would suggest you rethink what you are looking for.

I understand how u feel maybe dnt look dnt wonda just c whay happens, im quite synnical when it comes to love at the moment, love causes a lot of pain and heartache u shuld b happy u havnt got it its stressful

If you cannot get true love then just look for guys to have fun with. go to clubs, guys in clubs accept anyone (not the posh clubs though), no matter how you look like.
