You say you have to go,, no one can force you to do somthing you dont wish to do.
I wount lie, if your shot at close range (less than10yards) then its going to sting, and yes your going to come home with some great bruises, and some great storys to tell along side your little battle wounds,, that will only last a week.
The thing is its great fun, and ounce your running around and the adrenalin kicks in, you dont even notice you have been hit.
Its at the end of the day when you count the bruises that you relise.
if you can take a liitle pain then go for it, its truly great fun.

Good luck

Nah, I went paintballing when I was 25 and I just got a bit bored after a while really. It's funny for the first few games and then the novelty wears off and if you're not massively competative or into guns and stuff it just gets boring. Yeah, the balls do hurt a bit if they hit you, but not in a big way just in a "ouch that's a bit sore" kind of way.

you should make sure you have a good mask and make sure you have enough body protection if you bruise easy. the only other thing you need to bring is an open mind. you will find out if you love it or hate it. as long as you have the right protection, there is nothing that should truely scare you. yes, paintballs do hurt but the adrenaline rush may be enough for you to forget about it by the time the next match starts. works for me.
and by the way, you should never play with a speed over 300 fps.

my firends 7 yo daughter plays with us every month and she loves it. and yes, she gets shot almost every game.

No, getting hit with a paintball doesn't hurt much. Even if the ball doesn't break on impact, its still only stings a bit. Plus, the pain you feel is nothing like the satisfaction of dishing it out better than you are taking it.

Be brave and have fun.

Don't be scared - it's a great day out and lots of fun...!!

I've been paintballing a few times and it doesn't really hurt, unless you get hit from point blank range... as others have said, just make sure you wear the protective face masks they give you - at all times...!

Chill out & enjoy it..... there are worse things in life we have to be scared of...!

Well when I went with a gang from work it was great fun but at the end I was stood in the open trying to free a jam in the paint gun (they did warn about trying to use balls off the ground as they would jam, but they looked alright!!), anyway someone shot me from who knows where (point blank range I think) on the top of my bonce and I thought I had been hit with a hammer AAAGH.
Good luck! have fun, remember do unto others before they get the chance to do unto you

when I first started playing paintball I did not like the idea of getting hit with a ball of paint coming at you with 350fps then I got hit the first time you get hit it stings really bad but if you keep playing then the next time and everytime after that it won't sting as bad
