Yes, I think so. The old testament is in very large parts a book of history and also (agricultural) experiences (..the seventh year leave the olives below the tree and don´t use them..). The concept was around by breeding the best animals to get even better ones. But in those times people had other worries than writing an scientific book.

The earliest recorded view that evolution has taken place dates from c. 600 BC, in Greece (it wasn't much like the modern one, though). That was about the same time as the OT canon finished. However, it is a great mistake to suppose that Genesis attempts to write science in any way at all. It cleverly uses and adapts, in chapters 1-11, existing story myths that were popular in ancient times. Their purpose is entirely moral and spiritual, not scientific, and it is to greatly misunderstand the ancients to suppose that these myths could be scientific. Many Bible-haters deliberately encourage people to appraise these stories in merely scientific terms, but to do that is anachronistic.

No. the concept of evolution flourish after the Dark Ages of the 17th Century. Evolution is scientifically weak in that there is no fossil proof of intermediary evolution. The inter species and class interbreeding is not possible due to ghe barrier created at the DNA levels. If interbreeding is not possible evolution is not possible.. It make more sense that we are possibly a biotechnology laboratory by some very very advanced and powerful Bio-scientist from a civilization that is thousand or even million years ahead of us. We may be a fishtank, a biosphere, a bioplanets under experiment or even a toy of some advanced technologically civilization. But man am I happy that these being who called themself God is compassion, loving and caring.. I am love the study of zoology, biology, marine biology and always wonder at the simplicity yet the beauty of the ecological system and nature cycles. Definitely there is a great designer which created all these. Do you know that to duplicate the ability of our 3 lbs brain, the present technology will require 3 block of computing hardware and extensive software that we yet to master. That is how beautifully, wonderfully, and intricately made we are and also all the animals and plants around us.. Evolution suggest that non intelligent and disorder could evolve into intelligent, grand design and order. Really logically that is really does not make much logical sense. I am an engineer and I know what logic and degin is all about.

It would have been the the third part.
Part one would have been the big bang and the creation of the galaxies from the result
Part two the forming of the earth from the sun
Mind you - there would still have to have a section on the creation of god.

I'll say it again. Genesis said God rested on the Sabbath after setting creation in motion. Earthquakes, volcanic activity, other naturally occuring incidents are in process of creation. Noah took two KINDS of animals into the ark. That does not mean two of every species. There is no sound answer for why we have an appendix as it does not appear to serve any purpose in the human body. How about skin color? These definitely are not in opposition to the Bible account of creation.

I personally believe that is why God came into this world to tell people man was created in God's Image whom is Jesus Christ, and not by evolution because God being the Almighty Powerful One saw what technology would do to man by leading people astray to believe that people came from some primates, monkeys, and gorillas etc......and not from His Image whom is Jesus Christ. A MAN.
The monkeys are not my ancestors.
THATS A FACT.
