Where I work we all get along extremely well. There are four of us in our department. We each have different beliefs. We are good friends and are there for each other. We have lot's of religious discussions. We aren't trying to convert each other. I personally have learned many things about these other belief systems. We have more in common with each other than we have differences. Wouldn't it be nice to see more of that here?

it would be very nice to see more of that here, but i doubt it will happen when so many hide behind anonymity.

personally, i don't think a person's faith or religion has any bearing upon friendship. i've never turned my back on someone for choosing a different faith or leaving faith altogether. i've never felt like i had enough friends that i could afford to...

That would make my day. It really upsets me to see the lack of respect here on Yahoo Answers, especially in the name of religion. We should all be happy and grateful to habe a forum for discussion about our own religions and those of others, but instead it has turned into Hatefest 2007. That goes for everyone too, the christians and others in organized religions are just as bad to everyone else as the athiests. What ever happened to respect and an open mind?

Have a star for a great post!

I agree totally with you. I'm Jewish, and I went to a mixed faith school when younger; I loved learning about different cultures and religions and as an adult, I still enjoy this!

I think that people from all faiths can and do get on when it's one to one; the problem is silencing the extremists and also sometimes war-loving, hate-filled governments!

If a pair marry and are of diverse religions, then the youngsters could be uncovered to the two. there are particular middle extensive-unfold truths that shrink for the duration of all religions, including honesty, integrity, a magnificent paintings ethic, and care and concern for others. this could be made sparkling to the youngsters, and it should additionally be made sparkling to them that a given faith is purely one way of expressing religious ideals. babies shouldn't study that purely because of the fact everyone seems to be of diverse a diverse faith that they are incorrect or will bypass to Hell in the event that they don't persist with a undeniable faith or any of that nonsense. I went by using a era in my person existence while i grow to be not specific what faith i wanted. So I hung out in numerous diverse church homes. i ultimately desperate that church grow to be not the way i had to bypass, and truly am greater comfortable with a spiritual application.

The basic principal of all your religions is still the one who saves us all and that is the Lord Jesus Himself! Without him there would be no religion . Of course there are different factors that we all do (myself I am a non-denominational Christian),
Why nondenominational? Because my beliefs basically say i do not need to perform certain rituals. And since no one demands you to perform any and as long as no one pressures me or you it is a good thing.

For you all to get along each must supress what they believe to not offend the other.

Sounds like your a pretty weak christian afraid to stand up for Christ.

Jesus said the Gosple will bring division. Matt chap 10 I dont like it but expect it if im standing for him.

He died for me ill live for him. Not gonna live my life denying Jesus so i dont offend a muslim or others.
