At least you didn't have to look down the list and press 7 or 8 for English. I like the ATM we use - there are actually 10 languages, not just the standard 2. Its nice to see that they try to accommodate everyone, not just the largest groups.

I do not use the ATM. I talk to the real live teller. In English. When i make or receive a phone call that asks to press 1 to continue in English I hang up.

I think it is ridiculous. When my grandfather came here (legally, in 1908) everything was in in English, he got sent back in school because he didn't speak English. Guess what? When he was an adult, you would never have known he was born and lived in another country for the first 1st twelve years of his life, since he spoke perfect English with no accent. I think all these things in Spanish just make it so they never need to learn ANY English. We are doing these people a great disservice, regardless of how you feel about ILLEGAL immigrants.

Ya think english is the language of God(thought it was Hebrew/Greek last time I checked it out partner! Tojo wanted Americans to speak Japanese, Hitler wanted Americans to speak Deutsch/German, Mussolini wanted Americans to speak latin. I mean do you think Tojo, Hitler & Mussolini were evil people or some thing??? What has America contributed to the humanity of the world? Just because America saved the world from pure hell twice in it's exisistence, saved hundreds of millions of peoples from the night mare of enslavement & racial inequality, lost a couple million of it's own son's/daughter's thru the years fighting for others freedoms & is fighting today for the repressed freedoms of others not of their own blood, is supposed to make America great? Jimmy Carter/habitat for humanity, Adolph Hitler/auschwitz birkinau, I mean whats the difference here? Both were/are built to house people, just at KZ auschwitz a persons stay was both shorter in duration & less in comfort, I mean big deal, RIGHT! I mean if America is so great, how come America has no one trying to cross it's boarders to get in? American's problem is their self rightousness! They believe their sacrifice in blood for others well being should be appreciated, can you beleive such hypocricy!!! English language button on an ATM, & your complaining!?? The socialist win the election this time & your ATM machine will have 131 language buttons on it!!!

Not me, I took early retirement at Easter, the best move that I have ever made! I share your concerns though, and can see no signs of any improvement in the future.

Finland (2 official languages) Switzerland (4 official languages) Luxembourg (3 official languages) Belgium (3 official languages) Canada (2 official languages)????
How can anyone think we could function with more than one language. This is America!
