I think it would be correct if it was "lust" instead of love :D

Whoever said that was probably sneaking around behind someone else's back! Love is something to be shared with the beloved and shouldn't have to be cloaked in secrecy.
Trust is the foundation of any loving relationship. In other words: NO secrets!
Maybe the originator of this quote was also the same person who thought up the one about "guilty pleasures"...obviously somebody with a crisis of conscience!

not true at all. if a love for another is announced, and the other person shares the same feelings, then the love is quantified, therefore more pleasurable than a secretive, one-sided love.
