No, Love existed before Jesus. The Bible says that God is love and if you don't know God then you don't know love because God is love.

No kidding!!
Jesus was a man like any other who saw the light, and discovered God whom he called Father inside himself. The Jews worshiped an external God that Moses SAW but Jesus said no man had ever seen the Father. Later he said that anyone seeing him had seen the Father. I'm convinced that anyone seeing anyone has seen the Father even if the person being seen is unaware of this entire line of thinking.

There are many reasons to think ALL the really great religious leaders knew the exact same thing Jesus did, except Moses who was dealing with the most vile evil and ruthless force in existence, an external God.

Evil people now insist on turning those old spiritual pioneers like Jesus into Man Gods, which is completely against everything he taught.

He said things like "what you do to the least of these you do also to me."

It's hard to fathom how the Church could misinterpret every single aspect of the good news of Christ and the persistent message of Mankind’s relationship with God from within himself from hundreds of sources.

A form of godliness that denies the power is exactly what it is. Keep the sheep helpless and praying to something outside them then when they ask why the prayers aren't answered say because you're unworthy or it's against Gods will or some other lame excuse.

Having God inside you empowers you. You can make a difference because you weald the power of the creator.

Love is God. We are God. Spiritually everything is reversed from what many of you believe and Jesus says plainly that it is.

Of course Love existed before Jesus and there was no way it only started in his time. I think Jesus just dimentionalized a different aspect of love - one that is unselfish and unbounded in nature.

If there are any who believe that, they never read the Old Testament.
