Its not always about breaking up with someone. Sometimes literally they just need time to themselves to figure stuff out but that doesnt mean they stopped loving you or wanting to be with you. Not everyone thinks that way though. I wish people were more honest with how they felt instead of trying to protect feelings

Space sometimes mean..they want to explore a bit, have a "break" so they can have some freedom without worrying about anything, if it's ment to be and they have time for you then they'll come back. Usually a break "space" leads to a break up, because that "space" is giving them freedom and they can get other things done rather then worrying about their lover while they are busy working their @ss off. Some people are just too caught up in working and doing other things that they have no time for their lover, so that's why they say they need space..because they cant fit everything all in one schedule. Yadadamean??

Its quiet hard to just tell someone its over so the easier way is to say i need space but sometimes when the say they need space then maybe they do just need space and dont wanna break up so when they say that need space wait a while before just assuming its over coz you never really know if its over or not! :-)

because for some ppl honesty is a not known concept . It is just easier to lie and say I need space rather than i want to break up . good luck .

When they say they need space they mean they want to not be with someone

Because they don't want to be rude and say that they are being smothered or pick on your personal flaws. Others could be lazy and don't want to work things out so this gives them an easy out.

They can easily run out of excuses. "..i need space..." can be considered a cliche now.
