Surely the US and the willing do not care about dictatorship or the people of Iraq .Many people in other countries suffer worst than what Iraqi people did for example Iran ,Korea, Burma ,USSR(in the past) just to mention a few .I am confused as do not understand the reaason for the invasion or the benifit from it for the US or the willing .All I can see death and destruction on all sides .

I just can’t be bothered with these questions anymore. They either show that someone is following a political agenda or is completely ignorant and ill informed.

The reasons for the Iraq war are all out there in the public domain. You should do some research yourself and then you can see the 'facts'. After that, like everyone else you can put your own spin on things and believe whatever you want based on your own political agenda.I don’t think that the truth plays any part in this issue anymore.

At the end of the day it makes little difference either way what you or anyone else thinks. Because guess what. Nobody is listing.

We went in Iraq for Geo-Political motives. A loose and democratic Iraq would be a helpful asset in bringing peace to the midsection East. opposite to lots of the blogs we under no circumstances stole any of their oil. even although shares of chemical weapons have been present in Iraq that's no longer the main reason we are there. the reason that different WMD's weren't got here across is that we gave the Hussein regime too plenty warning. The Russians and French made particular that they've been bumped off alongside with any evidence that those countries presented them and have been paid with Oil for foodstuff money.

Too clean up George's dad's mess? We should of done it the first time in 1990 and 1991 when the the first Bush was in. At that time we had more world support. Maybe 9/11 might not of happen either. Who knows? If we do not do it right this time we will be back for a third time. By the way our current Bush lied to all of us. There was no weapons of mass destruction and that is why we went there.

It's all over Oil and saving the Dollar
All this orcastreted by the oil tycoons Bush and this Iraq war has been on the cards since 1991 when they realised they should of gone into iraq then.
A deal was made with suadi binladen did not like it, as the oil was being sold cheaper to them than to the rest of the arab nations.

This is all human psychology in effect at its greatest manipulative spin.

God bless our brave soldiers

Well, first off what are you doing putting the blame on the US? I mean it's not like the UK never killed allot of people in the past because if you think about it where do you think most of the US people's ancestor's came from? The UK. So before you go saying it's the US's fault you need to look back in you history because at one point in time the UK was just as bad if not worse about taking over not just a few countries but the whole world and those people in that time that where from the UK killed allot of people also so you need to take an look at your countries history also and see how much your people from the past hurt people that wanted nothing to do with your ancestors way of living. and I can name one of them my ancestors who where Native Americans that your people called savages before they even got a chance to know them.

So take a good look at your history and you'll see your ancestors where just as bad and the boys over in the war and it's not like the UK doesn't have anyone over there in Iraq.

It is very basic. Revenge. Saddam once conspired to kill George Bush Senior. Obviously it didn't happen but George W. Bush didn't hold with people trying to kill his daddy. When 9/11 came along, it presented Baby Bush with a golden opportunity to get back at the bad man who threatened his daddy. Phony WMD charges were dreamed up, CIA analysts where basically told they better go along or lose their jobs, and the drums of war were beaten. After the events of 9/11 the American people wanted revenge. If the president said the evil Iraqis were involved and they had weapons of mass destruction, then Iraqis and the evil Saddam had to die. Like most Americans, I wanted moslems to die, and I wasn't particular as to which moslems. So we went to war, beat the living hell out of the Iraqi army and got stuck in a quagmire when the Iraqis wouldn't play by our rules.

After the first Gulf War, President Bush (Senior) lost face when Saddam stayed in power.

I believe that the second Gulf War was the current President's way of getting even for his father's mistake of not taking Saddam out of power the first time around.

The trophy of Saddam's gun that was hurriedly returned to the White House after Saddam's capture shows that Bush had a personal interest in seeing Saddam removed from power.

g-day!

I have no idea where you got your information from and think you are a bit mixed up ..If you wish to know the real answers then maybe you should read more facts and not hyped up newscasts..
I do believe and agree with you that most of these wars were over and about Oil rather than what the Government spin doctors told us
Feel free to read my poem on the subject written last year and is posted on my poetry forum and is copyrighted
A Barrel of Oil

The wars are still around us
Soldiers fight on soil
Is it just religion
or is it all for oil

Tanks and guns are firing
weapons glow red hot
innocent people dying
little children shot

Israel invades lebanon
fighting terror they say
I just don't believe it
so to all gods I pray

that man will soon see reason
and there will come a day
when those in power do answer
and to the people say

We just made terror an excuse
to fight for our own greed
It's oil and land we are after
to satisfy our need

So come the day of judgement
Will they be judged true
did they fight for justice
for those like me and you

did they fight for justice
for innocents to save
or did they fight for possesion
for the things they crave

only they can answer
only they can know
we make our own judgements
they will have to show

will they all be innocent
are they squeaky clean
these worldly men that lead us
the truth will soon be seen

The Iraq war is about 2 things, Oil, and America's political agenda (to be a superpower), nothing else, I also heard recently that 9/11 was more to do with isreali jews than Iraq.
