recently i have install windows 2000, i thought it will look better than xp and work better than xp too but that disappointed me. windows 2000 look like windows 98 and their function also look like that and limited. my few friends have this but their produce looking much better than xp and there are lots of functions to work on it. i am student and study computer network and server, i just start it. few friends told me that i must install service pack to made it latest one and better than win xp. i find that there are four service pack available on net including microsoft website. would you please any body give me knowledge about that i have to install all four service packs or i can install last and latest one? is service pack 4 us upgrade version of sp3 or all service pack are different and individual produce to upgrade win2k? how to install download service pack on win2k? i know and i did that for win xp according to online instruction i had download xp sp2 and made win xp sp2 boot

Just use Windows Updates. W2K will find and install everything it needs, if it's a legal version.
Not legal? Switch to Kubuntu Linux.

Go to start/Windows Update. Then select use old system for updates. Use the express install, this will update all you need automatically, and only what you need. You must repeat this until no more critical updates are available. It updates Internet Explorer first, then SP4, then many other items. Currently there are about 60 updates after SP4.

Any new service pack will have the previous service packs data, just install the service pack 4.
