The two commandment to love God with all your heart and soul and love your neighbor would sum up the Ten Commandments. Think about it. If you love God and your neighbor you would not for instance, steal from your neighbor, kill him, commit adultery with his wife, bare false witness, neglect to honor your father and mother etc. See what I mean? Because any of these violations would also be a violation of the commandments to love God with all your heart and love your neighbor. The New Testament Commandments encompass the OT commandments. It did not render them obsolete, because they will always be guides for us to follow.

By Loving The Most High with all of our strenght and Soul, as well as Loving our neighbour as our very own Self; We are truly fulfilling the Law (Ten Commandments) and the Prophets (Christ-in us). To be a good follower(Disciple) of Christ (The Annointed One) We must pick up our cross (crucify) the ego (bestial nature) and Give birth to the Christ-within us (Be born of Water and of The Spirit) by walking the straight and narrow path that leads to life and NOT the wide road that leads to destruction. By Loving The Most High and Loving Our neighbour We are Truly disciples of Christ.

Jesus was asked by the rich man what he must do to achieve salvation. Jesus told him to obey the commandments. Jesus was asked which were the greatest of the commandments - he said to love God (the first) and to love neighbour (second). If we love God and love neighbour then we will not violate the ten commandments. I would suggest that you read the Gospels and the Epistles of the New Testament. There is no greater way to learn the path of a good Christian than to read and follow the scriptures. All you really need to know is there.

Christ followed ALL the commandments. To be a good follower would include: Giving God thanks for all of our blessings. Blessings to others and to ourselves. Blessings of the past, present and future. Blessings large and small, known and unknown, tangible and intangible. Giving and living thanks for redemption from sin and eternal life in Heaven. Giving God praise in all things. Doing the will/work of God by aiding others. Helping others to come to knowledge of God and the way of salvation. As is said "Actions speak louder than words." Our actions should show our love to God and that we have His love in us. Helping our fellow man in physical, tangible, spiritual, "Christ like" actions words and deeds. Would be a good way to be a follower of Christ plus some Church attendance, prayer, Bible reading, etc..

Nothing you can do can save or damn you.
Either you do things for the sake of love or you do them for some other purpose.
Earning money is a labor of love if you need to feed your family.
Earning money is an abomination if you start wars to monopolize world resources for your company.
Nothing in and of itself is right or wrong.
Right action therefore can't be judged by other people because only the person performing the action knows their motivation.
Likewise being a good Christian is a myth, either you act in love or you act in self interest.
Even seeking salvation in fear rather than in love of God is an act of greed rather than love.
How many more centuries does man have to live here before they understand this basic concept?

The disciples thought the Mosaic law would be too difficult on the pagan convert (Christians) so they told them not be circumisized and bound to the law.
Then Christians said the 10 commandments are too difficult so they whittled it down to 2 commandments..........
LOVE GOD AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR.
All pagan religions teach that !

my language is french but i will try to tell you something,
if you love your neighbour like yourself you will accomplish the 10 commandments, why because if you love your neighbour you will not take his life, you will not kill him, you will not steal him...if you don't love your neighbour you see, how can you love God you don't see? but take care your neighbour in the Bible is a born again, a brother in Christ. After practic the love, you can after love God with all your heart, ...
