There is no man on earth who knows or understands all things, so an atheist cannot claim as definite that God does not exist. SO WHAT IF, after dying as an unbeliever, s/he finds out that what God said through His Book (i.e., Bible) is all true? Forget arguing with me or any other believer on this site, or anywhere else. I’m talking about a situation between just you and God alone. You may be tempted to answer that this is a mute question because your stance is that God doesn’t exist. But WHAT IF you were wrong, which is very possible since you don’t know everything? What will you say to God then? What will happen to you then?

Please let me clarify my questions:
What if you were wrong?
What will you say to God then?
What do you think will happen to you?

What if the god that really exists sends all good people to heaven and all bad people to hell except people who pretended to know for a fact another god existed? then all good atheists are going to heaven but YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL. Why not repent when you still have time? Why risk eternity in hell?
And how can you worship a sadistic god that tortures good people - most of the people who ever lived - for all eternity?
Pascal's wager:
"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"
This is, of course, false.
Some of the problems with the argument:
* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)
* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell
* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else
* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.
* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (some people pray several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.
* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?
* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

The one's who God gives the ability to respond to Him are the only ones who will believe. He doesn't want everybody. He said that many times Himself and through those He sent.
So those who do not want to believe in Him are the one's He is not working on. God gave us the signs to recognize the people who He wants, and who He doesn't want.
It is possible that an Atheist will want to come to God. They just are not grown up enough to admit the desire they hold in themselves. But once in a while the desire to really know God will leak out. God sends people to touch their lives in order that they would grow up.
It's just that most people on Earth and in history, God did not make for the purpose of knowing Him.

I think that this is what is really meant by the term "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit". If you die not believing, and reject God and His forgiveness, dying in that state - then it's over for you. There is no forgiveness after that. Scripture says, in many different places, that scoffers and God-deniers will proliferate and be in great number in the last days

There's no " if " in atheist, if there is than it contradicts us of being atheist. We believe there is no God or supernatural beings, that's it. How then can there be God? It don't exist Dear. What you are trying to suggest is all your fear. You believe in Faith, so you are not sure, while we are sure, so the "IF'S" applies to you, not us. You better be worried .I hope you go back to reality. Face the truth. Do not live in fear. Take control of your life. You have make a great mistake, but I can understand because we human have emotion.
I cannot say anything to God for it is non existence but to you I say get a life, it will pass you for time waits for no one.

Nobody knows what is true or not, why can't we all just get along and accept that people are allowed to have different opinions? I'm a catholic and the God I believe in would still let non-believers into heaven if they lived a good life in the ways of love, kindness and charity.

The atheist is not obligated to claim as definite that god does not exist, any more than someone who doesn't believe fairies exist is obligated to prove they don't.
Would you please look up Pascal's wager.

Good Job, I was wanting to ask the same question, If we who believe die and there is no God we have lost nothing,,, but those who don't believe die and there is a God they have lose everything. An eternity in Hell, that is something I think I would think about before I said I do not believe.

I don't spend time thinking about that. Why?
Because there are hundreds if not thousands of gods that people claim(ed) are true, and I'd have to worry about every single one being true, and what to answer.
There is so much more than the christian god, and all the other theories of gods make one single deity seem even less likely.

What are you going to say to God when you find out the bible is not His book and that you have believed lies based on this false assumption without bothering to see if it is really true or not?

If you believe in such a god that in many ways acts like a human being and patronizes all under his 'command', I'd trick him out of his 'divine throne' and feed him to the demons.
You think about *this* though, what would you say to YOURSELF, if you were to find out there was no deity awaiting your hair & dirt in a divine place? Awww, a pity...
