It came out on "Meet the Press' Sunday, that the Evangelican christian Caucus, might be leaving the Republican Party. to go out on their own!! If they do, a new Political Party could be arising!
What do you think! Could this be a good thing, or doom and gloom for America?

Their views are too extreme to win the majority of the voters over. I doubt they would do much other than provide some comic relief, at most they will take some votes from the republican party like the green party does to the democratic party.

If they split off it'll be the death of the Republican party. I think they would be either to small to survive after the split or if they are strong enough to survive then in time they will Juggernaut by coercion and it will be the end of democracy as we've known it in the United States. I don't care if they split or not since it's a matter of politics and therefore a matter of base greed and power manipulation. I suspect they would be very Machiavellian about it all. It sure wouldn't be fun to have to meet people in secret to whisper what we believe to one another for fear of government censure.

I think it would be a good thing, actually, because then we could accomplish two things:

1. We could weed out the absolute nutters from regular Republicans (with whom I do not agree, but do not hate).

2. With their own political party their numbers would be smaller, and their issues and opinions would be perceived for what they are: hateful, bigoted, insane.

There has been some discussion. I know Dr. Dobbs is involved.
They aren't serious about it............yet.

Right now isn't the time. All this would do is split the Republicans and we don't need that right now.

I wish them all the luck. I need entertainment. I love horror movies and always wonder what it would be like if they came true.
