If you mean by "self-proclaimed" that there's no evidence of God's salvation in their daily lives, then I would say yes, it's possible. You can't just wake up one morning and proclaim to be a Christian! You have to be obedient to God's Word and be rid of all the sins of your past.

A person goes to hell based on what they DON'T do, rather than what they DO do. A Christian is a Christian because of their relationship with Christ. Therefore saying you are a Christian is not the same as living as a Christian.

Matthew 7:22 24 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

That is Christ and His word

Yes. A person can self-proclaim anything they want, but on the issue of heaven or hell, the facts are very plain and simple. Obey God, His commandments and His Word (bible) and you will receive eternal life in heaven. Don't obey God and commit sin, and you will go to hell. Self-proclaiming to be a Christian is not a ticket to Heaven, its the life you live.

The Bible is clear on this subject., for it says 'broad and spacious is the road leading to destruction'.

Yes without any doubt , people , including those who put themselves on high (eg the pope) will face judgment by God.
The judgment will either be , to be put to death , or to live on under Gods rule.

What will determine what type of judgment they get will depend on what they follow as truth and how they live their lives today.

If they follow pagan unChristian teachings like the idea of hellfire , immortality of the soul and the trinity then they will get a rather negative judgment.

It is the responsibility of all people to make sure of what they follow and compare it to what truly is taught in the Bible, and if it isn't found there, reject it as the Satanic vomit it really is.

To find out what the Bible really teaches please feel free to email me for more information.

It is possible for anyone to go to hell. Being a Christian is no guarantee of salvation. Salvation depends upon the acceptance of God's Grace. Part of this involves repentance for our sins. Jesus was also quite explict about what was required to gain heaven or conversely to go to hell. Simply put, it is about loving our neighbour. Feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, welcome strangers, visit prisoners. If we do acts of Mercy, we demonstate our love of God and neighbour. If we neglect these things, then we cannot truly claim to love God and neighbour. Jesus told the Pharisees "Go and learn the meaning of the words, 'I desire Mercy, not sacrifice'." I believe God provides us with every opportunity NOT to go to hell. But if we reject God then we condemn ourselves. If we sin and do not repent, we must answer for our actions either in hell or more likely in Purgatory.

From a Christian perspective, yes. Anyone can claim to believe anything. Whether or not they actually do is only known to them and God. The Bible makes it clear that nonbelievers will go to hell.

There are MANY "self-proclaimed" Christians who will be destroyed in hell.

The word of God plainly teaches that "many" will say Lord, Lord and" and they will be turned away.

Just because you know who Jesus is does not mean you are a Christian (Follower of Christ).

The demons believe and they tremble.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

sheep and goat. The stubborn on his left. Hey, you never fed me when I was hungry, dude! (etc)
Also that one where the king forgave the debt, then the one who was forgiven went and threw someone who owed him money in jail. Well, la-de-da! wouldn't you know it, but the King got angry about that. Sheesh. What a temper.
