What would cause someone to act like this?

I work at a public library. Someone comes into the library and takes his own feces and throws and smears it all over the bathroom walls. We call him the "Mad Crapper." A couple of suspects as to who it is, but we haven't caught the person yet.

What makes a person do something like this? Is it a specific disorder? Is the person likely to be dangerous?

I don't have to clean it up....thank god. I call in the guys with the long rubber gloves...

Man that sucks. Who has to clean the bathroom? The person obviously has some sort of mental problem. A poop smearing mental patient is very well likely to be dangerous.

Yes Steve it is a manifestation of a mental disorder. Rather than give You the wrong information I strongly suggest that You contact Your local Mental Health Authority and supply a professional care worker with the salient details. This will serve two purposes, firstly it will inform you as to the circumstances, criteria and options available, and secondly you may be able to cross reference your 'suspects' with known psychiatric patients in your area.

The person may or may not have a psychiatric disorder or are just out there on something. I would have the police involved as this is a health risk and you dont know what else this person is capable of doing.

it could be a mental problem but it sounds like to me that you have some one or more then one just showing their butts because they can and they could be dangerous if you are by yourself and walk in on them
