Numerology is the key here. I never play the lottery because knowing that I would always win would spoil the fun for others. Numerology is like a language spoken only by the few where numbers rather than words reveal the secrets of time and foretell the future. It is in numerology, not psychic abilities that the winning numbers come up. Even the old testament of the Jews told secrets in numerology like the 7th son of a 7th son, 7 vestal virgins, 7 days of the week, or 40 which means the maximum, 3 meaning God, 5 meaning man. These are all part of a different language of communication. So numerology is where the winning lottery ticket lies.

I have a friend who is a psychic. I didn't used to believe in psychics, but she is pretty good at it.
She would readily admit that she has no idea what the winning numbers will be in the lottery, or who will win the ballgame tomorrow, etc. She seems to work by intuition, and doesn't do anything with dead relatives (that I know of).
I've overheard her giving advice over the phone, and she seemed pretty wise to me, kinda like a counselor without a degree.
That said, I don't have much need for psychics as I prefer to live life rather than get somebody else's take on things.It's up to each one of us to write the future, and we can't be letting people get in the way by making predictions, even if they're correct.

Psychics connect with familiar {evil} spirits. By the way, when they tell people they are communicating with the dead, they are lying. As for your question: This might be the reason.
Familiar spirits are limited in power and are liars.

Because, like all "supernatural" things such as ghosts and spirits and seers and prophesies and God and angels and psychics, it is all pretend and make-believe.The only accuracy in any of it comes from statistical probability and chance.Nothing more and nothing less.

Psychics can not predict the future, they may have an intuition but that is it. Only God can tell you what is going to happen.
