let me clarify what i mean. i want to know if a female on active military duty(like at war) were to get pregnant by a fellow soldier would it be frowned upon or dishonorable in the sense that if one decides to serve his or her country shouldnt that duty be taken seriously and should be performed with respect and dedication not cheapened by hanky panky in the barracks like teenagers under the stadium bleechers. not to mention the fact that pregnant soldiers on medical leave or discharge are of no use to those on the front lines. the idea is to protect our countrys freedomwith dignity and pride not behave like sex crazed college students at a frat party. that should clear up any misinterpretations about what im asking

I have had several of my female soldiers get pregnant. In fact at one time I had three pregnant soldiers in my unit at the same time. All but one of the pregnancies were because the soldier was married and had decided that it was time to start a family.

When a soldier get pregnant she is given the option of either accepting an Honorable discharge or continuing her military service.

No, being in the Armed Forces doesn't mean that you have to put your family life on hold. My wife has served for 12 years and we have three kids who were all born in AF hospitals. She is viewed by her leadership as a Outstanding NCO and is constantly nominated for, and wins, military awards.
I think you might be referring to women who get pregnant to get out of deployments. In this case it is VERY hard to prove that this is the reason for her doing so, but if a competent military authority can prove that she got pregnant SPECIFICALLY to get out of a deployment then she can be charged under the UCMJ. Which in the end can result in Dishonorable Discharges or under Other Than Honorable Conditions discharges. Otherwise the military has become, and is increasingly, family oriented and many services on military installations cater to Active Duty mothers and their children.

a woman is only no longer instantly discharged from the protection rigidity for growing pregnant. this is a decision the female makes if she needs to stay in or go away. If she leaves, this is an honorable discharge. there is not any regulation hostile to it and no reason she HAS to get out. Now, if the female is deliberately getting pregnant rather to "shirk" duty or get out of a deployment or paintings, then she is to blame of something observed as malingering. this is rather complicated to instruct the reason is to stay away from paintings nonetheless.

Motherhood is not dishonorable. But if the two were enlisted and an officer then you might have a problem. The military does not like fratarnization. I have seen people court-martial for fratarnization. A court-martial conviction is a felony.

No. My mom did. She and my father were active duty.

By the way, my mother was given the option to stay in or get out of the Navy when she became pregnant. She was given an honorable discharge. And that was in 1963!

It really depends. Is she married? If not, it may not look as bad. But you are still doing "it" on government time.
Just recently someone that we know got a married active duty enlisted pregnant while on deployment. He got sent back to his duty station and almost got an Article. Turns out it wasn't his kid......get the point? She was sleepin' with multiples.
The military looks down on it---especially when they have to send her back home because she can't be pregnant and over there.

Impregnated by whom, in what relationship, and what's the future status of the baby - these are important; not bein or not being the Military.

if the female were deployed, then yes, they can get into a lot of trouble for it. If they were at their regular job, then no.

Why...........................
Getting pregnant is the same no matter if the woman is in the military or not - there's NOTHING dishonorable about it!
