Be careful!! What ever you do. He is 27 yrs old and asked you out in front of the BOSS! You are a new employee there. And they are old hands. It could be a game and BOTH in on it. Young minds are the fruit and prey to older and more experience ones. You are there to work, earn income, set goals, build integrity, honest and trustworthy work relationships. If friends come from it, Great!! Dates from the work place always cause problems (big or small) sometimes with the loss of the job. Or they end up giving you a name among your co-workers which are not pleasant to hear. He should have been the one to get in trouble for being so disrespectful to you and the manager. Harassment on the job is not tolerated in any work place. If it is( thinking of your manager). Then the LAW is on your side just like NATIONWIDE!!! (talk to your mom or some well respected adult, teacher or friend) if this really concerns you. Just be careful.

If this guy hits on you, asks you out, etc. then you complain to the manager and the manager gets mad at you, demotes you, punishes you or fires you, then you can totally sue the company for sexual harassment.
There are laws on the books about this stuff. It's up to THE COMPANY to make sure that the work environment is not hostile for you and sexual harassment falls under this definition.
TELL YOUR MANAGER. If he doesn't immediately fix this situation in some way or he turns it back on you, look in the phone book for a local women's aid or women's legal aid group or online for women's groups. They'll help you.
None of this is your fault. No women (no person, for that matter) should be harassed at work, no matter what.

Just tell him that he is too old for you - Age often doesn't matter in the right cases so I don't mean to imply that - and remember that he would be the one to get in trouble with the manager if he pushes it. You can even thank the manager for getting mad at him and explain that you are not interested and never have been or done anything to encourage that.

just send him text or note kindly requesting him to stop bothering you. That you are just not so comfortable with the idea of going out with him. That it is just a spontaneous feeling that you can't explain: Only heart can depict.

Start telling old people jokes to him , find a spot on his skin and ask him if that is a liver spot and say my grampa has them too , or tell him he smells like a nursing home , tell him you feel sorry for him because girls his own age won't date him...

Report it to human resources if he keeps bothering you and just stop talking to the guy.
