Why would I want to do that? I don't mind correcting the twisted logic of theists... why would I want to give them the option to ignore us en masse?
Anyhow, soon people will be demanding that an option to block just black users or just gay users be made available... do we really want to go down that road?

Fine. As long as you made the rule constant with everyone else.
for example, if you have the option to block all atheists, then other people should have the option to block all Christians, Muslims etc etc.
And while you are at it maybe you should make everyone state their beliefs on abortion before they post in the political threads, then I can block all the idiot anti-abortionists.
Maybe you would also like to block black people? Or how about Jews?
It's only fair after all. :rolls eyes:

I, um... *scratches head*, er...
*Looks at you blankly* Yes? Potatoes? Beets?
(If someone wanted to block all the atheists that would be just lovely. This way, all of us atheists will get less violation notices and have the right to free speech. Oh... wait. Free speech at the expense of freedom of privacy. Ah, well, it's America, the closest thing to a dictatorship in the Western hemisphere. I think we've already gone that route).
*Pulls your finger* Ow! *Pulls your finger again*

I will be much more recognizable as an atheist after Yahoo grants my petition for a "top heathen" badge, so Christians will be able to block me at will. That way, they don't have to hear an opposing opinion from me in this free and open forum

No. Why should I be willing to do this? How would that be a "free and open forum"? Anyone can block me that wants to. That pleases me. If my atheism offends you I could care less.

They can block us individually, and quite frankly I find that quite sufficient. I'm not rude nor ridiculing, but nonetheless, sometimes people find it difficult to endure even kind criticism of their ideas. I prefer that people block only those whose answers they find offensive, not a blanket, prejudicial banning.
I have blocked 4 people who have habitually insulted or threatened me or other atheists. With only those 4 blocks, I find the experience limitlessly more pleasant.

Why do you hate people who aren't religious?
I don't hate people who believe in God, I just accept that not everybody has the same beliefs as I do.
You though... are not a very nice person.
Hmm, were you sad when Jerry Falwell died?
I bet you were.

Religious segregation? Will you be suggesting that we wear Darwin fish on our shirts so you can easily recognise us in public next?
I think not, mein führer.

That would take away the "free and open" aspect of this forum, now wouldn't it? Keep dreaming.

Why is it that some religious group always wants people to "register" as something?
Will you be suggesting yellow stars on our avatars next so that you can recognize us?

I think the main reason theists don't like us here is because they know they can't win any argument with us and it must be hard getting what little logic they posses kicked around and shot full of holes.
