As much I as would like to believe that I am not in charge of "this journey of Life" and God is, I still have bouts of wanting situations to go as I perceive they should. (of course, I have all the best interests at mind! haha)
When I WORRY about people/situations, I find that nothing I could have WORRIED ABOUT would have changed the outcome anyway. But then, the next situation comes up, I'm right back on the WORRY SHIP. How do you truly ease your mind with daily worries??

There once a Wise man was asked how much Authority do we have on things, the wise man said to the seeker pick up your one leg, he did. Then he said now pick the other one as well, and the seeker couldn't. the wise men said this is how much control we have on our life my dear.

You can't. Worrying about how things will turn out is part and parcel of life. But it is not necessarily a bad thing. There are those things you cannot change and there are those that you can. It could be a good thing to worry about that which you can change coz that would mean you would exercise the initiative to make sure it does not happen. Leaving everything up to God does not work in all cases coz what would then be the purpose of you having a functioning mind and the capability to think and make decisions?

What I have had to practice is that I am not responsible for the thoughts that come to me. However, I am responsible for entertaining them once they are present. Change the thinking to something else. I've used prayer, reading, working on projects. If there is involvement of things I have no control over, I have said a simple prayer, asked for help, and thought of what that prayer means. i.e. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the power to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Then I just do not worry about it. If I do what I can, there is nothing more that I can do. Hope that helps.

Look up. What have you done for him? When you do his will , you will really see things happen and you will start to live in the spirit and not the flesh. God is always in control, if you let him do his job.
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

Do you play cards? If not,ask somebody who does.Well, when we analyze a human life based on the aggregate
sample,we find that a life is more like a hand of cards dealt to us.It has all the possibilities and probabilities of getting cards in all permutations and combinations and therefore, the inbuilt uncertainty. In short, though people shall get better or worst cards.but the ultimate result shall depend upon how well we play the cards, within the limitations of a dealt hand.I think it would be impolite to the almighty if we make him do errands for us,as if He is a bell-boy.We should strive to live the life by our own efforts with the divine guide lines available.otherwise,we shall be shirking in our responsibility and suffer the consequences.Let God be what He is and not our servant.(we can be and should be his servants). With this attitude, you shall be able to develop your self and help others and yourself.

I do the following:
1) Worry about it and make myself half sick
2) Turn it over to God and stop worrying
3) Pick God's pocket and take it back and go back to step 1 and start over
I think I am slowly getting to the point where there is a longer time between steps 2 and 3. It takes a lot of prayer.

Well honey, to put it simply though. God will only help those who help themselves. God is our guardian who guide us into the right path, but if we are not in control, things will run astray and it's up to ourselves to place it into the right directions though.
Before believing that God will be with us, we must believe in ourselves that we are in control before God can help us though. As the saying goes, it takes two hands to clap and that's what we have to do first in order to reach out to God's message though.
Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

I was told to 'Let go and let G*d' a lot of times. I took it to mean there are things in my life I cannot control and I should not get mad about it - I should investigate those things that interrupt my plans with a certain excitement about what I will find. Be aware your life contains many accidental occurrences; you will either see these as impediments or you will be curious to find where they might lead.

Yes, you must let go & let God. We re not in control of anything. You dont control your breathing, what time the sun rises or sets. The only thing you can do is to treat others the way you want to be treated on this joruney.

Trust in God and that He knows what's best for you. Any trials or temptations in life are meant to make you stronger in service to Him. You are not in charge, and God is. Don't try to force a situation unnaturally, unless you WANT it to go wrong. I stopped worrying, gave it all up to God, renounced this world and life, and that was the end of all earthly suffering for me! God changed my life.
