Me and my boyfriend are doing just fine since he cheated a few years ago. He was really young at the time and I have forgiven him. It still hurts when I think about it, but we have come a long way. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.

I have, but, it was really, really hard. I dealt with all kinds of issues because of it. I felt embarrassed for awhile, wondered if something was wrong with me, hated him, felt lost...you name it. But in the end, I had to decide whether or not I wanted my marriage to work, and even though I didn't feel like it then, I guess I did. If you are going through this, whatever you decide, pray about it first and just know that healing will take time. And if you decide to forgive him, you and he must know that you will never forget, and every day from now on you will carry it with you.

I'm sorry and I don't mean to be negative, but if someone makes the choice to go out and cheat on you, it can never really be truly "ok" ever again. Just my opinion.

you will never get over it...you will use it as a guilt driven control device and throw it in his face whenever your self centered greed doesn't get its way. remember to ask WHY did he cheat, he wanted what you weren't giving, and now you never will in fear of being inferior to this other woman...otherwise you wouldn't be here asking such a ridiculous question.
