It is annoying that the flight "time" to Brisbane is 2.5 hrs (by the clock - you have to leave an hour earlier from Sydney to arrive at a particular time in Brisbane)

On the other hand, taking 30 minutes to get back to Sydney is cool.

I don't find it annoying at all.
I suppose you're lucky you don't live in SA or WA they're always different to the Eastern States.

Why do you say the south east coast of Australia?
That would mean southern NSW and Victoria, they are always on the same time.
Unless you mean Tassie starting on the 7th of October and
Vic, ACT,NSW, SA and WA starting on the 28th of October.

We in Queensland don't find it necessary to have daylight saving.

People in NSW and Victoria complaining about the fact that Queenslanders voted against daylight saving. I also get tired of hearing "fades the curtains". I saw that woman on TV all those years ago. She was joking. It appears there were people who were stupid enough to think she was serious - but that is much of the TV audience I suppose.

The plain fact is that so many people are not interested in the perfectly valid reasons why Queenslanders didn't want it, they just sneer. Actually most of them cannot understand the argument, they are incapable of following a logical sequence over more than one step.

My response now to those who complain is to ignore them.
