I'm sorry but I really don't know. I do know that for a long while I thought God was not answering my prayers only to look back and see that he had and i was so busy trying to come by them my own way I hadn't noticed. But somtimes we just have to be patient. And I realized not so long ago that he knows better than me, and I am gratefull for the few that weren't answered but the need was still met.

There is a song by Garth Brooks called Unanswered Prayers.
God never gives anyone more than they can handle. Why do you feel ignored? what are you asking for? Think hard about whether the opportunity to improve your situation or to fix a problem has been presented to you and you have missed it. The rift in your belief system comes from within. How are you viewing your situation?

The old saying that God helps those who help themselves has merit here, perhaps. It's not only what you are asking for but why you are asking. Be aware of the opportunities, especially the hidden ones, that present themselves. Losing faith (despair) is the wrong method for this situation. Keep things simple. Remember the important questions...what, why and how.

I hope your situation and your outlook improve. Examine why you feel this way and why you are asking for the things you want. Good luck.

My belief is that in the giving we receive.

When I pray for someone in the right spirit with no thought of self, it is two fold, I experience, whatever it is I need.
I do not get what I want I get what is needed.
When I give someone a massage, in the giving I receive, I am never depleted, tired, or achy, my body is taken care of from on high.

In the giving, you do receive, when the giving is from the heart and given in love to the other, then and only then it is also given to you.
It must be this way, as the other is you, because what we see in the other is our own reflection.

Blessings to you.

Your prayers for others are selfless.

The real key to having prayers answered is to get so close to God that you only pray for things in His will.

The Bible says that when you pray, believe you receive it, and you shall have it.
this is called faith, and with out faith it is impossible to please God.

that being said, it is always easier to stand in faith for someone else than it is for yourself.

ie: if you are praying for someone else's headache, (lets keep it simple,) then you cannot feel the headache, and it is easy to believe that they have received healing for it.
bu if it is your headache, you can still feel the pain, and that makes it hard, to stand in faith that you have received an answer.
because you are looking at the problem, instead of looking for the answer.
once you have prayed, then you need to stand on the promise that you have receive and answer, and speak to the problem, and command it to come in line with the word of God.
when ever you have a need that you would like prayed for feel free to contact me, and I will pray for you, I will also put it on the prayer chain that I belong to, as many others have done this with excellent results.
my e mail is full of testimonies from those that have had us pray for them.

Well, I can't say for sure, because your prayers are really between you and God and those Heavenly Host involved with the answering... but my suspicion is that selfish praying is not becoming a mature child of God; He knows what YOU need before you ask.? But again, this is not meant to be judgmental... only you can really know.

God ALWAYS answers prayers....yes, no, or wait. Sometimes the waiting feels like being ignored. Be sure to pray for God's will to be done. And be sure to really TALK to God about everything...not just the things that you want. Tell Him how you feel about things, tell Him how much you appreciate the things He DOES give you....your health, job (?) whatever blessing you DO have. God has feelings too....and likes to be appreciated. I will pray for you...to really pour out your heart to God, and will ask that He will come very close to you and show you His love. Email me if you would like to talk...anytime.

rejoice in the blessings He is giving. don't dwell or keep record of your unanswered prayers. pray with conviction, God knows your heart. patience may be a virtue you may need to learn. maybe your prayers are not the path He has for you. get quiet with the Lord and listen. who knows where you may hear His voice. I usually hear him when stopped at a traffic light! my husband hears God in the early morning. just find that spot for God to lead you, and I am sure many prayers will bring hidden blessings.

Sometimes it is easier to exercise faith for others than it is for ourselves. It seems that we are too close to our situation to pray effective, faith-filled prayers. So, I have a prayer partner who prays for me, and I pray for her. Works for us.
