what kind of punishment is this? I think she's doing me a favor

We had an argument she says, "Don't talk to me."

It's so relaxing watching TV, without her talking and asking, Why, what and where

It's so peaceful without her talking and yelling

one day you will long for hearing her voice. For her to tell you anything...anything....but talk to you and then it's too late to understand how many precious moments you have lost. It may seem funny to you now...but one day you will need her present and she wont be around anymore...then you'll see that this has been the biggest punishment in your life.

To tell you the truth it probably is more of a punishment for you Mother than for you, she must want to talk to you in the worst way but does not know how to go about it. Give your mom a break and hug her, being a mom is a very hard job!!! we get it wrong sometimes but we get it right sometimes as well

It's not a punishment. It's her not dealing with the situation.

Here's a thought to chew on: Don't worry when people give you criticism. Means they care. Worry when they don't, because that means they've stopped trying.

That sounds harsh, but really think about it.

lol

That's pretty funny. I'm going to keep this in mind for when my kids are teenagers.

I have a feeling your mom is enjoying the peace and quiet as well... ;)

You appear mistaken. You should try your best to restore communication with Mom.If the two of you, living under one roof, will cease talking, life will become hell. It is for you to take first step to reconcile.

Without sarcasm, you might try telling your mom that you would like to talk to her, if she would talk to you and listen to you. It sounds like she's trying to talk AT you instead of TO you by going on and on and yelling. Try forgiving her though. She is human and even if she's not perfect (gosh, who is??) she is your mom. Respect her for that.

Can you see why she said not to talk to her? I wouldn't get so smart towards my mom. If it is so peaceful then why are you having to talk about her? Missing her perhaps?

One day you will undestand when you have your own kids, and realize it is not easy! Especially for a little girl with no respect to her mother!!

That sounds pretty good to me, I wish my mum would have done that instead of ranting and raving. I'm a mum now too so I'm no being disrespectful.

She probably just wanted a break from your smart mouth rather than worrying about punishing you.
